in marriage as a fundamental right, in marriage as a privileged context for raising children, and in upholding marriage as central to civilization. But at every one of these points, the majority had to reinvent marriage in order to make its case. The Court has not merely ordered that same-sex couples be allowed to marry, it has fundamentally redefined marriage itself.  Read more....

See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them,

I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish.   Deuteronomy 30:15-18

civil laws discriminate!

They discriminate against lawlessness.

Law versus Morality as Regulators of Conduct
Steven Shavell,

Harvard Law School

"It is evident that both law and morality serve to channel our behavior. Law accomplishes this primarily through the threat of sanctions if we disobey legal rules. Morality too involves incentives: bad acts may result in guilt and disapprobation, and good
acts may result in virtuous feelings and praise."

None of God's laws have ever been broken,  only violated.

They are all in effect,

and will be forever.

for our protection and welfare.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.   Jeremiah 29:11

Social Justice and Religious Liberty

Peter instructs his audience to submit to and respect their governing authorities, despite the horrid conditions they were experiencing. He stated that God has ordained governments to restrain evil in the world and to promote good, and believers are to live in a way that is above reproach. Therefore, as citizens of God's kingdom, Christians are to obey God above all other rulers and authorities whatever the cost. Religious freedom gives a person the right to be wrong about God, eternally wrong about God.

In the United States, religious liberty, and more specifically, Christian liberty, is under attack. Religious freedom begins with God, as He gives all people the freedom to choose life or death. Whether to obey Him or not. Government does not exist to promote or suppress religion, but to protect the free exercise of it. For only a moral people with shared mutual values can be goverened.

"Without religion morality falters. When morality falters the Pandora's Box of corruption, crime, and decay set in to be followed by the demise of the nation."   Alexander Hamilton

Our government has now redefined Freedom of Religion to mean only the private worship of God in one's home or church. However, true worship of God is faithfulness to God in all areas of life.  All areas of life. Because Jesus Christ is Lord of all.

Christians are to obey their government and those in authority over them, until that obedience requires disobedience to God.

President Obama through executive action, Congress through congressional legislation, the Supreme Court through court decisions are seemingly trying to destroy the traditional Christian morality of this nation and its people by redefining:

The Basis of Law.
The Origin of Life.

The Definition of Life.

The Definition of Murder.

The Definition of Morality.

The Definition of Marriage.
The Definition of Biological Gender.
The Definition of The Right of Parents.

The Definition of The Right of Public Worship.
The Definition of America as No Longer A Christian Nation.
The Definition of The Original Intent of Our Founding Fathers.

The Definition of The Right of Sincerely Held Religious Convictions.

Although we recognize both as authorities, God is The Supreme Authority. We honor Him in all our ways privately and publicly. Therefore, we must use what remains of our religious liberty for His mission of sharing the loving kindness of God in saving the lost and making disciples that will share the good news of the Gospel. To that end, we will not bow to Caesar, nor remain silent.

The Briefing Special Edition:  Supreme Court Ruling on Same Sex Marriage

Everything has changed and nothing has changed. The Supreme Court's decision yesterday is a central assault upon marriage as the conjugal union of a man and a woman and in a five to four decision the nation's highest court has now imposed its mandate redefining marriage on all fifty states. As Chief Justice Roberts said in his dissent, "The majority's decision is an act of will, not a legal judgment."

The majority's argument, expressed by Justice Kennedy, is that the right of same-sex couples to marry is based in individual autonomy as related to sexuality,

"Men will not be judged in the last day by the opinion which they had of themselves."
Archibald Alexander, Princeton Theological Seminary
